Glenelg Contract Bridge Club

As Club Patron, Duncan provides the Glenelg Contract Bridge Club with a perpetual trophy (silver tray) to be awarded each year to the member with the ranking of Regional, or less, who earnt the most masterpoints during the past year.

The club meets at the Sea Rescue Squadron at West Beach and is always looking for new members.  They now have a new website www.sabridgefederation.com.au/glenelg which has details of the Club's activities.

GLENELG CONTRACT BRIDGE CLUB - AWARD RECIPIENTS 

In 2009 Duncan presented the patron's trophy to the inaugural recipient, Judy Maloney.  Also shown in the photograph (left) are Iris Hughes who won the Wally Wood Award; Club President Tony Souter; and Marie McMahon who won the Keith Berry Award.

In 2010 the patron's trophy was won by Keith Walshe; the Keith Berry Award was won by Marie McMahon; and the Kevin Clapp Memorial Trophy was won by Kay Weeks.

In 2011, the patron's trophy was won by Eddie Skala (pictured below); the Keith Berry Award was won by Dulcie Easley; the Wally Wood Award was won by Marie McMahon; and the Kevin Clapp Memorial Trophy was won by Tony Souter.

Keith Berry Award - awarded to the club player who obtained the most masterpoints for the year.

Wally Wood Award - awarded to the club female player (excluding a female recipient of the Keith Berry Trophy) who obtained the most masterpoints for the year (Club rules do not permit the same person to receive both trophies).

Duncan McFetridge MP Patron's Trophy - awarded to the most improved National* ranking member for the year.

Kevin Clapp Memorial Trohpy - awarded to the member the Club President considered had contributed much during the year.
