United4Kids - part of UnitingCare Glenelg

I have recently been advised of a new program that has been established in the Glenelg area which will be of direct benefit to people in the local area.

UnitingCare Glenelg, established in mid 2007, operates from the St Andrew’s by the Sea Uniting Church at 92 Jetty Road, Glenelg.  UnitingCare Glenelg currently provides individuals, families and groups with:

  • Food parcels, supermarket vouchers, assistance with payment of chemist accounts and other needs.
  • Counselling services – financial, personal etc.
  • Clothing and other material needs.

United4Kids is a children’s clothing recycle outlet which aims to raise much needed funds by selling good quality clothing as well as helping families who are under increased financial pressure to be able to purchase clothing for their children at very reasonable prices.

The recycle outlet, staffed by volunteers and selling clothes donated by the community, is open every Saturday between 10.30am and 12.30pm at the St Andrew’s site – 92 Jetty Road, Glenelg.

Volunteers are required to staff the recycle out let.  If you are able to help, please contact Marilyn Penhall at UnitingCare Glenelg – This email address is being protected from spambots.
