YMCA SA Youth Parliament

YMCA SA Youth Parliament (YP) is a personal development program designed to give young South Australians between the ages of 15 - 24 a chance to be heard at the highest levels of State Government, on a wide range of issues relevant to young people's lives.

Participants are provided with training around Public Speaking, Parliamentary Etiquette, and Bill Development. These Bills are then debated during Parliament Week, in Adelaide Parliament House under the same protocols that apply in the South Australian Parliament. The Bills that are passed by the Youth Parliament are then sent on to the South Australian Government. This is a unique opportunity to have the views of younger South Australians heard.
